Rapid Covid Testing

One of the most stressful aspects of the current pandemic is the constant uncertainty on a personal, national, and global level. We do not know when a vaccine will be developed, or if it will be safe to go out in public on any given day, or how best to implement social distancing into our complex lives.

COVID-19 Rapid Molecular Testing – Results in 60 minutes or less

Kore Lab Solutions offers a nasal swab rapid molecular test for COVID-19. This molecular test is designed to detect the genetic material from the COVID-19 virus. A positive result indicates a current infection with COVID-19. Because this test checks for the genetic material of the COVID-19 virus, it is considered a molecular test that could be used for travel or confirmatory testing requirements.

COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Testing —
Results 60 minutes or less

Kore Lab Solutions LLC offers both nasal and nasopharyngeal swab rapid antigen testing for COVID-19. Rapid antigen tests are designed to detect proteins from the virus that causes COVID-19. A positive result indicates a current infection with COVID-19. Since this test only detects proteins from the COVID-19 virus, it may not be sufficient for all travel or confirmatory testing requirements.

COVID-19 Rapid Antibody Testing —
Results 60 minutes or less

Kore Lab Solutions LLC offers finger prick rapid antibody testing for COVID-19. Antibodies are proteins created by the body’s immune system after an infection or vaccination. Rapid antibody tests look for antibodies in your blood to determine if you have had a past infection with COVID-19.

Kore Labs’ Antibody Testing Looks
For Two Antibodies: lgG and lgM

IgG Antibodies: This type of antibody can be produced by the body anywhere from 7 to 14 days after an infection and can be detected for several weeks to several months after the infection.

IgM Antibodies: This is the first type of antibody produced by the immune system, between 4 and 7 days after an infection starts. The presence of IgM antibodies generally indicates a recent infection.

Why Get Tested?

While many people with COVID-19 have mild or no symptoms, it is still possible for them to be infectious and pass the disease to friends, family and coworkers. Meanwhile, others don’t know that they’ve been in close contact (within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes) with someone with confirmed COVID-19. If you are out and about in the community, we recommend that you receive routine testing once a month or sooner if someone you’ve been in contact with tests positive or if you develop symptoms.
